Recommended Sites Back To Index

Before we go any further, here are a few sites I would strongly recommend you go to for helpful information on Diablo Version 1.10:

http://www.ladderhall.com Some of the friendliest diablo people are there. A great community, and I recommend it to everyone.

http://ValiancyHall.com Another great site for Diablo II. I also run this site and am an administrator at this site.

Editors and Programs for Download Back To Index

ZonFire99's Hero Editor [v0.95] Full install available for download by clicking Here. Required install files can be downloaded Here. This is the editor used be basically the entire guide, and is the best editor around these days to use. I would STRONGLY recommend it to any new hacker in version 1.10, or even 1.09.

EDIT: Use Hero Editor V1.03 now.

Some of the changes for Hero Editor V0.95 (December 3, 2005):

- fixed bug re life/mana/stamina being set to max-1 (e.g. 8190)
- fixed bug re "All Resistances" and "All Stats" now always displays correct values
- checked and fixed several Rare/Crafted names
- added display of magic attributes when gems and runes are socketed in items
- only look for D2 directory when 1st installing HE (avoids some incorrect "virus" warnings)
- fixed crash bug re entering illegal numbers (e.g. letters), when only numbers are expected
- checked/fixed menu option to unsocket items (and remove all socketed items)
- fix so Annihilus small charm displays as a soulstone (also fix viper amulet)
- fixed bug re "You Were Dead" checkbox text disappearing when un-selected
- added file save error text description (used to be just an error number, lol)

The following are also the D2 V1.11 additions:

- Runewords: 34 new runewords (23 only for B.Net, unless you have a Mod game)
- State: uberminion #184
- UniqueItem: Hellfire Torch
- Misc. Items: pk1, pk2, pk3, dhn, bey, mbr, std

Installation Instructions: Download ZonFire's Hero Editor Install Files. Extract the downloaded file (free zipped file extractor at http://www.winzip.com) and run the Setup.exe program. Continue through the process until it is complete. Download either ZonFire's Hero Editor V0.82 or V0.90 [BETA] and unzip it. Run Hero Editor.exe to commence Hero Editor.

Mitja's Diabolic is avalible for download Here. This is an in-game editor that allows you to edit your stats when in your game. Very good to use for testing purposes. Some features Diabolic allows you to do:

• Allows you to edit your stats. Note: The stats edited will return back to normal after leaving the game.

• Allows you to "kick" people out of your games. Useful when you have someone slowing the game, or just being annoying.

NOTE: Mitja's Diabolic does NOT work for the updated 1.11b version of Diablo II.

Installation:
Download the attached zip file. It should contain at least two files which are essential:
diabolic.dll and DiaSetup.bat.
It is not a d2loader plug-in anymore, so the files must be placed into your Diablo II folder.
Next step is to run DiaSetup.bat. It will display a setup dialog box.
It will ask you if you want to install diabolic.

Udie2's Editor full install avalible for download Here. This is very similar to Zonfire99's Hero Editor. When you start this editor up, you will notice the set-up is as if you were in a game. Some people rather use this then Zonfire99's Hero Editor.

Mitja's Version Hack is avalible for download Here. This allows you to duel in an 1.09 Version game without having to upgrade to the 1.10 patch.

D2Loader full install for V1.11b is located Here. This is a very neat program that allows you to do many things:

• Run Diablo II Lord of Destruction (D2 LoD) without the CD

• Run multiple copies of D2 LoD so that you can have two characters fight each other in a TCP/IP game all from your own PC.

• Includes "Map Hack" which is very useful for Closed.

Note: Most of these downloads are located at the guide Here.

Clones Back To Index

What is a clone?

A clone is a pre-made character used for testing purposes. You can look at these clones to get an idea on what to use, and test with them in a D2Loader game.

Minisque by Budda_HoS (V1.11)

MiniSquee, like it's name foreshadows, is small in some aspects.  This clone was made to demonstrate a new aspect of dueling, low levels.  This dopple sorc is a level 9, and able to contend with the best of level 99's.  For the majority of the .10 and .11 patch, people have commonly overlooked these characters for many of their down falls, but for all of those downfalls comes strengths.  The main, and almost only, difference between building a 99 setup vs. a 9 setup, are the attributes needed to make them function.  Obvious with the lower level, based on character level (bocl) stats no longer have as big of effect, leaving much more room to be filled.  The solution to this problem; stats by time.

General Overview:
Mana: 2.54 mill with a level 48 tk ratio
Life: 4.99 mill
Aura: medium holyfreeze
Speed:-121% ias, with a level 59 delerium on attack/hit, -200 %td/99 enchant comb
Resist and abs completely based on time (and abs %)

With that being said, we need to explore some of the other aspects of the clone.  Firstly, you will note an extremely high character file size (7.3k).  This is do to the attributes based on time.  If you’re willing to make a low level, you must be willing to sacrifice some file space.

Next, we come to the pi.  Though the pi is functional, it does run into some bumps.  With the new patch, many people have switched to lower auras.  This is ok if you are using this character, the max resist and aura setup are perfect for that arrangement.  When you do meet the occasional mid to high aura person, this is where you run into trouble.  You will stand outside and slowly their aura will ping you to death.  Solution, within the invo is a charm that increases the max resist % from 75 to 95.  This will solve your problem, but it requires some interaction on your part.  Before going outside to duel, cast the es and make sure your life is full.  Host your opponent, go outside and see if his aura pings your life, if it does just switch to the other charm which I've marked for you in the invo.

The abs/resist is based now on the attribute on time instead of bocl.  Some of the results in your testing will come up different.  Make sure you know damage order and absorb delegation found here.

Lastly, the -121 ias speed.  Many people have stressed about the ultimate speed, ones that will give you a better results.  I've made here a simple arrangement that does get the job done.  With a simple -121 speed a 200% td and a -45 attack rating, this usually hits all defenses, if not just cast the level 99 enchant which will boost your ar even more into the negative zone.

Remember the whole point to this clone is to open up new opportunities of dueling.  Whether it be level 9, 20, 50, or 99 we still can make it happen.  This is a new area of game play, go and define it.  On my very last word, make sure to have fun. It is only a game.

INSIGHTS ON DIABLO v1.10:

The key to any good character is how well you manage its resources. Balance is the key to everything. Patch 1.10 is exciting in its endless potential for offensive and defensive set ups.

Offensive: Great Smite for physical damage and good aura for elemental damage. Auras have different characteristics. Some auras can be aimed towards one hit kill by manipulating skill levels and increasing damage using the Masteries. The benefits of 1 hitter auras are that you can take out an opponent with less then adequate absorbs and resist in the blink of an eye. The downside is that if your opponent has a good resist absorbs set up; you will end up healing him excessively. Secondly, are the non-healing auras. These auras are characterized by higher Pierce and are usually lower screen damages. The benefits are that you wont over heal your opponent and they will need an optimal PI/Prayer/Mana Regenerate to keep on filling there life. The downside is that if they do have that set up; you will find yourself not having enough damage to kill them.

Defensive: Again a good absorbs resist set up is a must have to counter elemental damages. A good PI is needed to counter physical damage. Find a good Mana Value. Then find an optimal mana regeneration plus. You can also use Meditation but I don't recommend it because its regeneration rate is not continual such as regenerate mana plus. Therefore; you are vulnerable during the intervals where your meditation is not regenerating mana. The most important thing to remember is not to over hack. Don't hack skills on your character that you don't have mana for. That's like writing a check with no money in your bank account. Always keep reserves.

So when you test our PI/Mana/Regeneration. Leave some cushion because you are going to need it for the damage your opponent is going to inflict on you. I do not recommend the attribute of Damage to Mana. I feel as though it leaves you more vulnerable versus certain set ups.

This character is intended to give you an idea of what you will face out on B.Net and how to counter your opponent. Make sure you have a great defense then work on your offense. Killing is easy and surviving is hell. Lots of luck with Diablo 2 and welcome to Ladderhall.

AntiClone by Antigd (V1.10)
Released To Public: February 15, 2004

(Sorceress)

This clone is a prime example of an entry level PI (Physical Immune)... Now, this clone is not 100% PI it has reflected some damages up to 95%.

This character is a all skills dueler (meaning it is uses other skills that are NOT native to the original character). Its main attack is smite. Make sure you use all the skills I have hot keyed (F keys).

This clone will beat many but for those that know what they are doing it is easy killable and will not oppose a problem to them.

Some things I tried to center around this clone was...
PI- Slower Dmg Intake
High Life- 7 mill almost
High Mana- Little over 1 mill
Hittable NV's- With smite of course

Things that can be improved
Better smite dmg- Doubtfully counter other PI
Better PI- Tweak a dmg and it will break the PI easy
Absorbing elemental dmg.

BaalsBane_Clone by BaalsBane_HoS (V1.10)
Released To Public: February 12, 2004

(Paladin)

This can be a pure or all skills build paladin, there are a few shields (Mana Shield, Blade Shield, Shiver Armor) available to use, but they're not on equip so they are an option. This build will show you how to reach high life, and achieve aura immunity(Fire, Lightning, Cold), as well as displaying a decent smite damage. It also has a decent damage kill aura (6 mil Holy Shock). Character is very close to PI, I will let you find the rest of the details. Not Ladder worthy, but a good solid character, if you can defeat it consider the ladders as the next step.

CobraClone by KINGCOBRA-N[R] (V1.10)
Released To Public: February 12, 2004

(Paladin)

Has lower life, one of the fastest smite speeds I've seen, and a low damage smite setup.
Certain things do not need super stacked, notice min amounts of certain things such as run/walk. Only certain things are need to proform a task. In this example, a too fast fun/walk can get you killed if you can't lock on. Just enough to get you back up after knockback.

This clone shows the basic build that you will work off of before you get into the nitty gritty of ladder chars.

Here's my pure druid clone. He comes complete with Leech(should work if it doesn't just take 1 charm off), the dmg if you face any pure druid will most likely kill it very fast. doesn't have life aura but you can add it.

The NightsClone is a starter Clone it is the basis for an entry level dueler. The Clone will not make you Godly however will beat most of general open battle.net Players

If you can beat this clone your ready at least to start laddering It will not get you a #1 position.

The features we are trying to example here are Aura immunity with good smite and defense We have purposely left off certain attributes which would make this clone extremely deadly those are for you to find

This character is also a good example of ITH masking

Aura Immunity Light and Cold
Good Smite Damage

Single Charm character
5 Million Life (can be set higher)
