Equipment Colours
- black -- any pref+ transcendence suffix
- Blue -- any pref+ winter suffix
- Red -- any pref+ Squid suffix
- Green -- any pref+ pestilence suffix
- dull white -- Toxic ____ of Thunder
- Purple -- Azure pref + neutral suffix
set all items as magical rare..
put on all the attributes You need
then fix the prefix such as Cruel or Death etc..
then put a heap in inventory and cycle through the suffixes one by one
it is a pain, but worth when you get colour you want
...note that doing this way, if you change an attribute later it may change the colour
they are all prefixes u dont even need suffixes
tangerine -- bloody
gold -- bronze
firery -- bone
turqiose -- cruel
shadow -- emerald
silver -- fungal
snowy -- glimmering
amber -- glacial
azure -- red
ruby -- rusty
they are all prefixes u dont even need sufixes
i find field plate works best change to magical item and change item prefix and suffixes to change the colors u must go into the game to actually see them though.
cruel of fire =black
beserkers collosus= red
silver of readiness=gold
slayers of ease= green
platinum of defiance=blue
First u have to set the weapon or armor to MAGICAL and only use the PREFIX to work ok lets get started:
Green: Monk,
Yellow: Shadow, Hexing, Rosebranded, Pearl, venomouse, Burning, Glacial, Lion.
Blue: Turquoise, Red, Zircon, snowy.
Red: shimmering.
Black: Crule, Forked, Cinnabar.
Orange: Lucky.
Purple: Rainbow, Azure.
griswalds edge? i use that all the time for red weapons... its bright red
One last purple is Doomslinger, on fuzziers it shows up as Doomspittle
many people use fuzziers to make their colored items by just changing the magical prefixes or putting a certain unique name on their items
there is also a program called gandalfs that you can download off of erics site were you load the item into it and select the color you wish to change it too
although just because you say i want my armor to be purple isnt gonna make the armor the purple you want.
different prefixes can create different shades of it. even the armor type can contribute to how the color appears on your charecter once equiped. sometime you might get a black looking purple othertime a ncie bright purple its just soemthing you gotta test around with until you get the look of the color you want.
I've played with a few colors (both by using magical prefixes and by using unique qualities) and noticed that some color look great in your inventory, but kinda disappear in open play depending upon the type of armor, boots, gloves, etc. that you have.
As colors don't really have any impact on stats (strength, dexterity, damage, defense, etc.), I've kinda given up on colors. Maybe some of the more luminencent colors might look kool, but I just haven't spent much time trying to find the "perfect" color.
if you are wanting to make a bure black piece of armor you cannot go wrong with the Assasin Set Loricated Mail, whatever that name was again, it is PURE black
Well, I can tell you what pure black is in unique names. Its: Skullcollector.
Vampiregaze is kind of green on armor.
Another pure black is: The magical prefix: Deadly
Red for a javelin: Blade Of Ali Baba ( on armor this shows as brown )
Anther good green is the unique name Puss Spitter
White of course Is the unique name Swordguard.
Another green i think is the unique name: Hawkmail
White Armor
On any unique.. Just change the offset 0x00000013 to 71 and offset 0x00000014 to 0A and BAM! Swordguard (whites)!
I know of a white unique armor, that's always white, no matter what you do to it. It's "Toothrow" - Unique Sharktooth Armor.
To make white armor you need to do several things. First you need a copy of the nutcracker editor.
Keep in mind that this program does not work with the current LOD(d) version of D2.
You also need to download the LOD patch b as you will need this.
This is called lod_109b and can be found through fileplanet.com.
Just download it and keep it dont run it yet. Nutcracker will work with this version.
Are you still sure you want white armor?
What you are going to do is uninstall LOD, reinstall D2 and then LOD from your original CDs
(you have to install both again)and then execute the lod_109b patch.
This patch brings you up to the b version of LOD. Once you have that you can then use nutcracker and jamella.
Are you still sure you want to make white armor?
If all of this is working, then open jamella and open a character. go to the inventory tree and find the sword headstriker.
it is an exceptional unique. put it in your inventory. hack it how ever you want, adding sockets or what ever.
treat this item as armor as you are going to convert it from a sword to armor.
the sword is a pure white item and that is why I am using it.
there are other things that you can use that will work also. Once you have it hacked as armor, save your character.
Colored Uniques
pluckeye for blue
pusspitter for green (almost an emerald color)
grandfather for an orange
there are tons of them all you have to do is make one of those useing jamella save it load up your hexer and get the values of the two offsets 0X00000013 and the next one and there you go that must be the unique modifier codes.
There is one that changes the item type it isnt far from the unique one its before it so it isnt very hard to figure out i do know its only 1 offset though
